Al Salam Alaikum Fellow Birawees,
We are happy to announce that the Chicago Chapter of Al-Bireh Society will be hosting this year’s convention! What better place to have Birawees from all across the country come together as one than the beautiful city of Chicago? Chicago boasts with many historic locations including the Sears Tower (yes, Sears, Who’s Willis?), Navy Pier, and the Field Museum. Come take pictures of your reflection at The Bean, have a picnic alongside Lake Michigan, and take your kids to the new Maggie Daley playground in between mingling with your fellow Birawees! The time is now to make long lasting memories with your fellow Birawies.
What is this year’s theme, you might ask? Seeds of Al-Bireh! While we all come from the same village, our roots have been spread far and wide. Everywhere Birawees goes, they plant seeds behind them for the future generations. Our ancestors paved the way for us, and we will continue to do so with our homeland and them in mind. Join us in celebrating our roots and help us plant new seeds August 5-7 in this year’s Al-Bireh convention, Chicago style!
For more information, including links to purchase tickets and reserve your hotel rooms, please visit the event at Albirehsociety.org. It will be kept up-to-date with the latest information about the convention.
